Position summary

We are searching for a licensed CPA with 10 plus years’ experience in public accounting. This position would possibly be a partner or near-term partner depending upon experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exhibit leadership, integrity, energy, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment; including frequent communication with the management team and staff to support the Firm’s vision
  • Assist in representing the Firm in the community, professional and service organizations; perform an ambassadorial role to assist in building of networks and profile
  • Achieve sustained value by originating clients for the Firm; meet with potential new clients to determine needs; prepare pricing proposals; nurture client base – working to produce new solutions which create value to the clients
  • Coordinate with Tax management team and Firm marketing team to develop vision and strategies which are long-term, compelling and market-focused
  • Work with other managers and partners in an effective manner for the management of the Firm, in various management functions (i.e. marketing, IT, compliance)
  • Contribute creatively to the strategic planning of the Firm and its implementation
  • Demonstrate through his/her own actions and the actions of the team, compliance with the Firm’s policies and procedures including regulatory compliance and good practice in relation to the Firm’s own practices
  • Actively contribute to the building of the Firm’s processes and systems which contribute to the Firm’s ability to grow its business including quality control/improvement, governance and management structure
  • Demonstrate the visions and values of the Firm by example

Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in public accounting firms combined with advanced academic qualifications; active CPA (current and valid license required)
  • 10+ years of public accounting at a national/regional level
  • Proficient with tax software such as ProSystems, CCH, RIA, and/or Engagement Manager
  • Experience with the tax aspects of business transaction issues, including shareholder transactions, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, leverage buyouts, etc.
  • Significant track record of mentoring, coaching, training and developing tax professionals
  • Ability to develop new clientele and expand services to existing clientele
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to function well in a dynamic team environment
