Chris Raper joined HHM in 2019. As a tax manager, Chris is dedicated to proactively helping clients take the most advantageous, tax efficient positions available.
Prior to joining HHM, Chris most recently worked in the tax department for a leading health insurance organization, assisting with federal and multi-state tax research, strategy, audit defense, and tax accounting. He has also gained experience in public accounting working in audit and tax assisting organizations in the commercial construction, industrial construction, manufacturing, and non-profit sectors. Throughout his career, he has assisted clients with large, complex nation-wide organizational structures with audit, tax planning & compliance, and tax nexus analysis.
In addition to working with clients through complex tax issues, Chris is an adjunct professor for Belhaven University where he teaches undergraduate finance, accounting, general business classes, and graduate level financial analysis classes.
Outside of the office and classroom, Chris enjoys spending time with his family watching movies, bowling, and traveling.
