Audit partner Chris Walker brings a wealth of experience to HHM with 27 years in the field of auditing. His expertise spans across various sectors including construction entities, local governmental bodies, dealerships, nonprofits, employee benefit plans, and other for-profit entities. Originally from Gadsden, AL, Chris is an alumnus of the University of Alabama, where he not only obtained his B.S. in Commerce and Business Administration in 1995 but also his Master of Accountancy in 1996. During his time at the university, he was a part of the prestigious Million Dollar Band, showcasing his passion for both music and academics. In addition, Chris was recognized for his outstanding performance, receiving accolades such as the Financial Executive Institute’s Outstanding Accounting Student Award and the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key for achieving the highest grade point average in the School of Commerce and Business Administration. Holding an active CPA designation in both Florida and Alabama, Chris is a dedicated member of professional organizations including the AICPA and the FICPA. Beyond his professional commitments, he actively contributes to his community by serving on the Board of Directors for the Center for Independent Living of Northwest Florida, Inc., as well as holding positions such as Treasurer and Chair of the Personnel Committee. His involvement with the Ransom Middle School Band Boosters and Tate High School Band Boosters reflects his continued dedication to music education and serves as a heartfelt tribute to his late wife, Janie Walker, who was a middle school band director for 24 years.
