Japhet Townsend joined HHM as a supervisor in 2022. He focuses on preparing tax returns for businesses and individuals, specializing in state and local taxes. Japhet brings to the firm six years of experience as a field auditor working for the Tennessee Department of Revenue, as well as two years of experience as a tax preparer at a local Chattanooga accounting firm. Japhet moved to the Chattanooga area in 2009 to attend Bryan College where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Economics. He is currently pursuing his CPA license. Outside of the office, Japhet enjoys studying American history, catching a baseball game, and spending time with his family which includes his wife and his two young children.
