Jason Martin is the managing partner at the Memphis location of HHM. He oversees audit, assurance, and attest services for a variety of clients within the governmental and private arenas. He specializes in providing CPA services to state and local governments, stand-alone enterprise funds, and utility districts. He has also provided services to a wide range of private clients. Start-ups, auto dealerships, private equity funds, construction companies, fuel distributors, and many others all depend on his expert insight.
Jason has over 10 years of experience in working with a diverse range of clients. His in-depth and up-to-date knowledge and experience have proven to be of great value to the firm. He believes in building long-term relationships with clients so that he can know what they need and serve them that much better. He cites personalized service as the key to his success as a CPA.
He takes part in many of the peer reviews that are undertaken by the firm. He sees this as a vital role in furthering the skill of the CPA field – and as research on behalf of HHM. He is able to study other firms’ processes with a mind for learning from their good points. He is then able to share his insight with other CPAs at our firm.
Jason is also adept at a wide variety of fraud investigative and forensic services. Many of HHM’s clients are in a better place because of his keen eye for detail. He is known for thorough fraud risk assessments and fraud examinations in the public and private sectors. He has also done the same for the not-for-profit segments. His fraud risk assessments bear in mind the client’s entire business risk. They include financial statement fraud, employee malfeasance, and internal control analysis. His analytical acumen – along with his experience in conducting investigative interviews and detailed fraud engagements – makes him a key part of the firm’s fraud services team.
When he is not at the office, Jason takes on the role of a family man. He is a busy husband and proud father of three children.
