Max Purifoy is a staff accountant in HHM’s Memphis office. He prepares individual and business tax returns and assists with tax planning, supporting clients across a variety of engagements. Max joined the firm after interning with HHM for a year, during which time he gained hands-on experience working on individual and business returns and contributing to tax planning efforts. Prior to joining HHM, Max interned with another local accounting firm and also interned in internal accounting with a multinational company. Max is known for his initiative and personable approach, and he defines success as stewarding opportunities well while building a reputation for excellence and supporting others. Max earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Memphis and is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Greater Memphis Chamber Young Professional Council. A lifelong Memphian, Max enjoys spending time with his wife, getting outdoors, grilling, playing or watching sports, traveling, and staying involved in his church and the Memphis community.
