With two office locations in Chattanooga and Memphis along with a third office coming soon to Cleveland, Tennessee, we have openings for Tax Managers to join our firm that are looking for a unique collaborative team environment with client facing opportunities and the ability and support of HHM CPAs to be involved in the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a go to resource for research, technical, and reporting issues for clients
Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and saving strategies for clients
Represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities
Prepare and/or review tax returns
Manage multiple tax engagements and supervise staff
Provide excellent client service and quality work with absolute integrity and professionalism to deliver the “Wow!” factor to clients
Build strong team relationships and satisfy other functions as needs arise

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
5+ years of public accounting experience required
CPA preferred
Proficient with tax software such as ProSystems, CCH, RIA, and/or Engagement Manager a plus
Experience with tax aspects of business transaction issues, including shareholder transactions, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, leverage buyouts, etc.
Track record of mentoring, coaching, training, and developing tax professionals
